Finding Evermore Capacity to Love This World

I had a wonderful time honoring the autumn equinox in community, with a lovely outdoor ceremony, expressing our gratitude for the Earth and all her extraordinary gifts. It’s been a powerful few days with a solar eclipse, new moon, the equinox, and now the Jewish New Year! Wishing all a good season to come, that we may find our way to peace, joy, strength and courage amidst the Great Unraveling. Find time for beauty, for apples and honey, for purple aster and goldenrod, for big clouds in blue sky! I find taking time to be with the living earth so grounding and centering in these swirling times.

We will get through this. Things are shifting, as many things have gone too far, and people are waking up and wanting to create a more loving world. A better world is coming, and all the quicker if we believe it and act to make it happen.

As the great Joanna Macy said, “The biggest gift you can give is to be absolutely present, and when you’re worrying about whether you’re hopeful or hopeless or pessimistic or optimistic, who cares? The main thing is that you’re showing up, that you’re here and that you’re finding ever more capacity to love this world because it will not be healed without that. That is what is going to unleash our intelligence and our ingenuity and our solidarity for the healing of our world.”
